Following discussions with the contractors carrying out the major overhaul and rebuild of the number 2 end generator, they are trying their best to have this ready for return to the DPSCS in early May.

24th June, Liverpool to York-Carlisle-York-Liverpool Pathfinder tour should hopefully run as planned subject to completion of RSG's current overhaul.
Should the loco not be available by this date another heritage English Electric mainline locomotive will be on stand by and the train should operate as planned.

19th August, Kings Cross-York and return with an add on Newcastle circular tour, this will also be operated by Pathfinder.

23rd September, Linlithgow-Edinburgh-Inverness-Aberdeen-Edinburgh-Linlithgow. tour operated by the Scottish Railway Preservation Society.

8th December (Friday), Linlithgow-Edinburgh-Lincoln, operated by SRPS and North East Railtours.

Only date at this stage for 2007 is the 2nd January, with details to be announced in due course.

In addition to it's main line operation 55 022 should also be active at preserved railways. Unfortunately our participation at the North Yorkshire Moors diesel gala between the 5th and 7th of May has had to be cancelled. We hope the railway have a succesful gala and will do our best to attend a similar event in the future.

Our loco will operate on ocasions at her East Lancashire Railway home particularly at diesel events. Dates for 2006 include the main Diesel Gala between the 5th and 9th July, Diesel weekend September 1st to 3rd and English Electric theme day on November 11th. She should also work some of the railways regular diesel hauled services and dates will be advised once
known.

Following her Scottish main line jaunt the previous day, it is planned to operate the loco on Sunday 24th September on the Bo'ness and Kinneil Railway and at the following weekend's SRPS diesl gala.

Sorry for the lack of information regrading the ongoing restoration at Barrow Hill, mainly due to a lot of time being spent by myself working on both Class 40 Preservation Society locos D335 and 40 145 over the last few months. I will endeavour to provide an up to the minute report soon.
