Please note that 55 022 will not be working the railtour planned for the 24th of June. Unfortunately the generator is not scheduled for return from our contractors Dowding & Mills until around the end of May and as such it has been decided that to continue with plans to run a tour on that date would not be sensible.

Unfortunately the Pathfinder tour will not now run using alternative Heritage English Electric power but is now planned to use 2 EWS Class 37/4s. Those who have kindly booked with Beaver/Guy Middleton will be contacted by post soon together with a booking form for the planned 19th August tour from Kings Cross to Newcastle which should be the debut of a renovated Royal Scots Grey. At this stage no money has changed hands whatsoever with those who booked with us.

Apologies for any inconvenience this further delay to main line operation of 55 022 may cause. We are confident that the loco will be operational in time for the East Lancashire Railway diesel gala.

Royal Scots Grey will now make its mainline return on the 19th August 2006 hauling the 'Tyne Limited' from Kings Cross. Full details on the booking form here...
