All 22 interior light fittings, 12 engine room windows, 4 windscreen wipers and 4 cab door fittings have been removed, dissasembled, cleaned and sent away for re-chroming. 8 engine room doors have had all fittings removed for cleaning and laquering. All this work being performed by employees of Beaver Sports (Yorks) Ltd.

It is planned to have as many parts renovated as possible whilst the major work is proceeding as it is felt advantageous to do these type of jobs whilst the loco is out of service.
