| During the last few weeks there have been stories
on certain Internet 'chat forums' etc. relating to my locomotive. Most of
which are completely untrue, unfounded and of no interest to me or anyone
else with half a brain. In addition several e-mails have been received and
I feel that a statement has become due.
I am extremely happy with all work performed by our contractors involved in the restoration of the locomotive to date and the manner in which it has been performed. I am confident that the wise choice was made with the best long-term interests of 'Royal Scots Grey' at heart. I do not wish to discuss the workings and politics of other locomotive groups or companies past or present involved with Deltic locos as their business is of no interest or concern to me. I am usually extremely busy with my work, family and many other diverse interests and am no great fan of time-consuming e-mail communication and as such I will do all I can to stay clear of those with axes to grind and criticise others. At the end of the day 'Royal Scots Grey' is intended as an enjoyable hobby. On a far more pleasant note, thanks to all who have helped with RSG so far in many different ways.
