In the process of stripping the loco the following items were discovered under the floor in No.1 Cab .

1 Pack Woodbine cigarettes, 1 pack Park Drive cigarettes, 1Embassy Cigarette box, 1 'ten bob' note (someone somewhere will have been gutted to loose 'that' much money), and a BR metal tag stamped with 'D9000 End No.1'. To think these items have been hidden for so many years while the loco has been performing her duties both under BR and private ownership.
