Note - In the early years of the Deltic locomotives lives the records that were kept in relation to major components carried were not entirely accurate. Therefore, in some instances it is possible that some visits to major Works have not been recorded. It is also apparent that in some cases the major components carried have either been inaccurately recorded or not recorded at all. However, through extensive research and cross checking it has in most cases been possible to establish exactly which components individual locomotives carried. Unfortunately there are still some instances of uncertainty as to which components were carried; fortunately these instances are now very few except in the case of
D9005/9005/55 005 where little early information exists.

Both replacement bogies had been modified with stiffening plates. The body was given a six monthly exam. All traction equipment accessories including control cubicles and cable runs were overhauled. The following modifications were carried out - Exhaust pipe bellows fitted; Drawgear mod; Driver's brake valve mod. The locomotive's mileage is recorded as 184,000 miles since new.
